Floral images are used to symbolize the beautiful and delicate bond between Mothers and Daughters. Using various art media suggests the different relationships when granddaughters enter the picture. The absence of color pushes one to see beyond the comfortable, recognizable flower. The visual sculpturing of materials in some of them helps to provoke each viewer to reflect on their own female relationships.
